Who you might be · What we work on

Who you might be

You're a creative or organizer in RVA who has spent years building things for other people and can't remember what you actually want.

What we work on

We slow down enough to hear what's underneath the output. We work with the part of you that's been deferred indefinitely.

Who you might be

You inherited a religion, a politics, or a family role, and you're no longer sure how much of it is actually yours.

What we work on

We trace the inheritance — what's load-bearing, what's borrowed, what stays. Whatever you become, you become it intentionally.

Who you might be

You're in a long marriage that's quietly stopped being the center of your life and you don't know what to call it yet.

What we work on

We hold the not-knowing without pushing for a verdict. The work is honest, paced, and lets the next move come from you.

Questions

Common questions.

Do you work with Richmond creatives and second-act adults?

Yes — the work is open to creatives and second-act adults in design, education, nonprofit, hospitality, healthcare, and beyond, including anyone in the middle of a substantial identity rebuild. The work is paced for that.

How does therapy fit if I'm doing the work of leaving an inherited life?

Slowly, honestly, without an agenda. Richmond holds a lot of inherited identity — family, faith, region, race, marriage. The work makes room for the slow renegotiation without pushing you to a verdict before you're ready.

I'm in a long-term partnership and confused about whether to stay — can we work with that?

Yes. Individual therapy for the partnered adult who is no longer sure has a place in this work. We don't rush you toward an answer. We build the clarity that lets the answer come from you.
